Dhan Lakshmi is accounting software published by Blue Oscar LLP (“Blue Oscar”, “we”, “us”). This policy applies to this website and to the personal information you share with us when you download the Dhan Lakshmi application, request a demo or trial, or contact us for sales and support. Confidentiality is central to our practice; the same discretion we bring to your accounts, we bring to your data.

Information we collect

We collect only the details you choose to give us. When you use the download form, the newsletter sign-up, or the contact form, we collect three pieces of personal information, each clearly labelled on the form where you enter it:

• Name — so we can address you personally and prepare your licence.
• Phone number — so we can reach you about your download, demo, or trial, including on WhatsApp.
• Email address — so we can send your details, respond to your enquiry, and (only if you ask) share product and compliance updates.

We do not ask for and do not collect payment card numbers, government identifiers, or any sensitive personal data through this website. The books, ledgers, and business records you keep inside the Dhan Lakshmi desktop application stay on your own computer — we do not receive or store them.

How we use your information

We use the three details above only to:

• deliver the Dhan Lakshmi installer and your demo or trial key;
• contact you about your download, activation, and support — by phone, email, or our WhatsApp helpline;
• respond to the questions and requests you send us;
• send product updates and GST/compliance news, only where you have opted in — and you can stop these at any time.

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it for advertising.

Your consent

By submitting the download or contact form, you consent to us using the name, phone number, and email you provide for the purposes described above. You may withdraw your consent at any time by writing to us (see “Your rights” below); this will not affect anything we did lawfully before you withdrew it.

Sharing and disclosure

Your information is never sold and never shared beyond the people on our team who need it to serve you. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us operate — for example the messaging platform we use for our WhatsApp helpline (Meta) and our hosting and email providers — and only to the extent they need it to perform that service on our behalf. We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

Data retention

We keep your information only as long as needed to serve you and to meet our professional and statutory obligations. When it is no longer required, we delete it or make it anonymous.

How we protect your data

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to keep your information safe — access is limited to team members who need it, our systems are protected in transit by encryption (HTTPS), and our servers are hardened against unauthorised access. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to protect your data and to respond quickly if a problem arises.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses only the cookies essential to make it work and keep it secure. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies. If we use privacy-respecting analytics to understand which pages are useful, it does not identify you personally.

Children’s privacy

Dhan Lakshmi is business software intended for use by adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights
